Laughing, fun and big smiles were seen right round the venue! What a wonderful day for 5,000 special needs children! The 2009 Sydney Special Children’s Christmas party held on the 2nd of December was magical. The children had a healthy lunch made by TAFE NSW and fruit provided by the NSW Farmers Association before tucking into the favourites of fairy floss, Crostoli biscuits, ice-creams and Lindt chocolates! Rides and jumping castles, numerous roaming performers, army displays and painting and craft tables, face painting, farm yard animals to touch – there was so much to see and do. We had lots of special visitors attend this magical day to sign autographs and make our special children smile. Ronald McDonald & Hamburglar, the Troopers from Star Wars, Blinky Bill and Spinosaurus. Please see the photos in our gallery.

A special Thank you must be mentioned for the Royal Australian Navy - HMAS Kuttabul Rogers Division. In particular; CPOCSM Kennith O’Connell. Ken organised the bulk of our volunteers and ran the setup of the event along with the party day’s volunteers. Thank you Ken – you and your RAN volunteers were amazing! The children really enjoyed seeing you and your staff in uniform on their special day.

The 2009 Party was held at Sydney's premier venue - Rose Hill Gardens. With both in and outdoor areas for children and families to play, lots of shade and trees – it truly is a fantastic venue for our event.

The 2010 event has been booked for December, again at Rose Hill Gardens. To register your organisation, please contact our office on 02 9635 8855
